What to do in Mallorca in March?
Although too cold for sunbathing and swimming, March is a good time for sightseeing, hiking marked trails in the Serra de Tramuntana and the exploring Mallorca’s many ancient and interesting towns on foot, bicycle and car.
Try to catch one of the many parades celebrating Semana Santa Holy Week: Easter Thursday sees the largest parades to celebrate Easter, with the most colourful being in Palma de Mallorca.
Many churches hold special services on Good Friday and on Easter Sunday, and in the following days, look out for pancaritats – pilgrimages to Majorca's various shrines and hermitages, which are often followed by picnics.
