The Brisbane Airtrain provides a rail service from the airport to Brisbane city centre, taking 17 minutes, every 30 minutes. Taxis and hire cars are also available from both the international and domestic terminals.

Walking and hiking: visitors are encouraged to use the boardwalks and marked tracks to reduce erosion. Try the 90km-long (55mi) Fraser Island Great Walk. Or, for a shorter hike, start in Kingfisher Bay (at the ferry drop off) and head to Lake McKenzie.
A four-wheel drive is required for all landings (except Kingfisher Bay), and travel on the island (except within the Kingfisher Bay Resort). Four-wheel drive vehicles are available for hire on the island.
Tour buses travel the island as well as various self-drive tours that depart regularly from Hervey Bay, Rainbow Beach and Noosa.
