Best time to honeymoon in Matamanoa Island

The best time to visit Matamanoa (and the Mamanuca Islands) is during the dry winter season from June to September, when the weather is mainly dry and sunny – temperatures average a high of 28°C (82°F) but can range from a low of 18°C (64°F) to a peak of 32°C (90°F).

The seasonal transitional months of May and October can also be a good time to visit.

The wet season is characterised by brief but heavy showers from November to April with temperatures ranging from 22°C (64°F) to 31°C (87°F).

Getting there

Matamanoa Island is located in Fiji's Mamanuca Island Group, around 30km from Nadi.

Matamanoa is serviced twice daily by South Sea Cruises via fast air-conditioned catamarans. Cruising time is approximately 90 minutes from Denarau Marina, Nadi. SeaFiji offer a professional speedboat transfer service on demand, with one way or return transfers from Denarau Marina, taking one hour. Denarau Marina is a 20 minutes drive from Nadi Airport.

Fiji is located in the South Pacific, 3000km east of Australia. Air Pacific and Virgin Australia Airlines operate daily flights from Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney to Nadi International Airport.
